Gillian robertson
Costanza will be Gillian’s second role with 3T, having played the pivotal role of Doris the under-housemaid in their previous production of The Hollow. Costanza will also mark Gillian’s second role with Threepenny Theatricals as ’the help’, and is starting to believe that she is being typecast!
As a classical singer, Gillian has sung many principal soprano roles with various societies and is often to be found singing as a soloist across central Scotland. Favourite roles include Antonia in Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffman, and the title role in Princess Ida which she sung with Edinburgh Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and more recently with the Dunfermline G&S Society. She was also given the opportunity to fulfil a long-held ambition by singing Mozart’s Exultate Jubilate for the wonderful St Andrew Camerata Choir. More recent engagements include a reprise of two roles that Gillian created for two new operettas: Voice of the Tumbling Lassie in Tumbling Lassie and Julia in Dandie Dinmont. Gillian lives in Edinburgh with her husband Derek and beautiful puppy Penny (light of her life!). In her spare time, Gillian is a Lead Business Analyst for The Phoenix Group! - Biography taken from the programme for Enchanted April (2022) |
