Elspeth whyte
Elspeth is delighted to be back performing with Threepenny Theatricals for the fourth time. It’s been very strange not having a script or a score in her bag for what seems forever. Elspeth has been performing since she started dancing at the age of 5 appearing with nearly all the companies in Edinburgh playing many principal parts and also with Livingston Players which included appearing in their award winning productions of Calendar Girls and Steel Magnolias. She has also choreographed for Showcase, Livingston Players, LAMP adult and childrens theatre companies and Edinburgh’s Gilbert and Sullivan’s production of Carousel.
She was lucky enough to appear in The Festival Theatre last September in Southern Light’s charity fund-raiser in aid of Edinburgh’s King’s Theatre refurbishment fund. Getting to reprise Dolly Levi with ten handsome young men dressed in tails wasn’t a bad way to spend your summer even if it meant rehearsing in a tent in a car park. When not rehearsing, Elspeth loves her job working with Oak Tree Vet Centre and likes nothing better than a cosy night in with a wee glass of fizz and her five gorgeous cats. Now sit back, relax and let us take you away to another place and time. - Biography taken from the programme for Enchanted April (2022) |
