Audience Feedback for 'Elephants'
“Fabulous review and well deserved. However, as true as her review (is), most true is her last line. It really rings true – what a high bar this first production has created for the rest! Congratulations, and the casting was definitely the strongest point of this show!”

“Just wanted to say what a joy it was to see the show last night. I was so glad I went. Really loved the content and the performances.”
Joanna Bleau
“I wanted to say not just how much we enjoyed the performance, but how impressed we were by the high standards of all aspects of the production. Impressed but, knowing you two, not surprised. The set was perfect and of course it matched the realism that the play demanded. Important details were well thought out: the upbeat saccharine Christmas music contrasted spot on with what was going on in the play itself; a high-quality and informative programme at modest price; friendly support from front of house (thanks Ross and Delaneys!); and costumes that well reflected the nature of the characters.
It’s invidious commenting on any individual as all were so good - even if Mr Biscuits sounded a bit like a seagull - but I will anyway. Simon was well-cast. It was a really bravura effort by him, helped by some great lines; he was never over the top. Fiona moved so well from the larger-than-life housewife holding things together, to expressing the real pain before and after Sally’s epiphany. Mia handled her two set pieces really effectively, necessarily restrained at other times when she used facial expressions to great effect (well, we were in the front row - thanks Ross). Rebekah was very credible, handling her character and those abrasive lines so well. Chris moved Dick convincingly from something of a caricature to a man with human emotions, and Elspeth was so genuine with her balance of emollience and warmth. Good cameo from Gordon - trust he’ll also stay on with EDGAS. And did I say that Frank/Myrrh needs to work on his miaow?
It was great to see such a good turnout from EDGAS supporters. With this as its debut, Threepenny Theatricals will surely continue to attract good audiences and more acclaim. We’ll be there at the next one!”
