angie fowlerThis is Angie's first performance with Threepenny Theatricals and she is delighted to be bringing the role of Gabrielle to life. She's especially thrilled that so many friends and family are coming to support her in this role; encouraging her that she's just the right person to play an ugly sister.
Angie feels like her life is a snippet from Cinderella - meeting her 'handsome prince' at Walt Disney World, and returning there with him for many a happy holiday ever since. Angie has been in the amateur dramatics scene in Edinburgh since 2015, joining the EDGAS ensemble for South Pacific, Me and My Girl, Oklahoma!, Jesus Christ Superstar, Carousel and The Mikado. She joined Captivate Theatre as Mrs Bedwin for their Fringe production of Oliver! in 2022, and their ensemble for Sunshine On Leith in 2023. She played Edith in the DGASS production of The Pirates of Penzance in 2023, and Leila in their 2024 production of Iolanthe. She does ongoing performances with the Edinburgh-based Let's Face the Music and Dance theatre group, that works for the support of Leukaemia Care and other charities. January 2025 will see their fundraising Speakeasy Jazz-Night at Patina Edinburgh. She wants to give a heartfelt thanks to her am-dram colleagues for teaching and inspiring her so much over the years. What a far cry from being cast as the Christmas Tree in her primary school play, and being given the part of the Suit of Armour in Me and My Girl (18 minutes on stage as a statue...) - Biography taken from the programme for Cinderella (2024) |
